What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.
Mindfulness has become a buzzword and a trending concept for mental health all over the world. But the ancient practice rooted in Buddhism, may not actually be fully understood by those attempting to practice it.
In this class, we will be concentrating in the connection between Mindfulness and Spirituality.
By incorporating mindfulness and spirituality into your life, you can experience profound transformation and cultivate inner peace and presence. The practice of mindfulness enhances present moment awareness and reduces stress, while spirituality addresses deeper existential questions and provides a sense of meaning and connection. Together, they synergistically contribute to overall well-being and a deeper understanding of oneself and the world. Embark on this transformative journey of self-discovery, connection, and profound peace by embracing the integration of mindfulness and spirituality into your daily life.
Adding Sound and Music to Mindfulness?
Absolutely!!
Mindfulness meditation is about concentrating on the subtle sensories of the body to distance ourselves from negative thinking and stabilize the mind.
Music, in fact, enhances the experience of mindfulness meditation. It helps focus on the breath while blocking out unwanted thoughts. This makes it easier to concentrate on the meditation, relax and off-shoulder some stress.
We will cover breathe work, meditation, tapping, chanting and humming, scanning our body (checking-in), journaling and more.
Note: Please wear comfortable, lose clothes. Bring a blanket and water.
